Logging into DataXchange: ERROR "The Dataxchange server cannot be contacted at this time" received

When logging into DataXchange, you might receive the following ERROR message "The DataXchange server cannot be contacted at this time". Typically, this occurs when there is an internet problem so try going to dx1.scytec.com in a web browser and see if you can reach it. If so, the next step is to check if the Proxy Server is in use.

A proxy server is something your internet traffic is being routed through. To troubleshoot this, see the steps below:

Proxy Server Troubleshooting step(s):
      1/ Open up windows settings & search "proxy"
      2/ Select "Change proxy settings" to see what on the screen is turned ON

      3/ Want: Automatically Detect Settings is turned OFF
      4/ Check to see if turning this OFF will allow DataXchange to RUN
      5/ If not, check the Account screen in DataXchange & open up Proxy settings there

      6/ Want: confirm the "Account Access" setting is set to "Internet Access" and NOT "Local Access Only"

If these steps do not help resolve the issue, please submit a ticket to dxhelp@scytec.com. Thanks!
