How do I Customize Data Collection?

Expressions are the backbone of data collection within DataXchange and all information collected from machines and other sources is processed via expressions. When the criteria defined within an expression are met, the specified data is sent to the DataXchange PCS Database (PCSDB). Data which can be sent includes but is not limited to a change in equipment status, a change in the active work order or part number, or an update to part counts. An expression can also result in an email or Microsoft Teams message being sent to a specified user or group of users.

The default DataXchange expressions should be able to get you up and running, but for finer control over data collection expressions can be customized via the Create Expressions option on the DataXchange tab. More information about creating and modifying expressions can be found below.
