Configure the Mazak API

Configure the Mazak API

Mazak has software on the NC system to control external access. Once the API has been installed on the NC external access must be configured to allow Scytec DataXchange to connect.

Select the HOME button in the upper left of the NC screen.

Select the SMOOTH APPs MANAGER button in the lower right of the HOME screen.

Check to see if the API Access Control has been registered already. If so, then there will be an icon for the API Access Control. If this icon is present, skip to the section Configuring the API Security Level.

If the API Access Control icon is not present then select the EDIT button in the upper right of the SMOOTH APPs MANAGER screen.

Select MAZAK APP from the ADD menu.

Select API ACCESS CONTROL and then press OK.

Select any of the available buttons locations to register the APP on the screen.

After selecting a location the API ACCESS CONTROL button should show in the location that was selected.

Configuring the API Security Level

Select the API ACCESS CONTROL button to bring up the MAZAK API Security level selection.

If other defined apps do not require a Medium or Low setting Scytec recommends using the High level. Select the High level and then select the Access Permission List button on the right.

For DataXchange, the following three Software names must be defined in the Access authorization list, then press the green checkbox button.  The Software name and Password are case sensitive and must match the case shown.
